Qype: Oxford Arms in London

London - Pubs & Bars - Pubs

It really depends on what you want from a pub - this is not a nice sit down, read the Sunday papers and chill out sort of place. It is however a good place to go and watch a big football match or if you really want to immerse yourself in a whole world of sport for a Saturday - they often show different matches on the myriad of TVs and the ridiculously hi-tech satellite system they have. The atmosphere is great during a European championship or a World Cup - it was adopted by Brazilian fans during the 2002 world cup which made for a lot of fun. And has a great atmosphere for all big matches. It also opens early for Lions tours of Australia or New Zealand.

As a place to go for just a drink? Well probably not a first choice to be sure but it is open late and also has quite a decent quiz night.
