Edinburgh - Restaurants - British
Awesome restaurant - just brilliant. Millybroadbent has summed it up very nicely with her description - it is a really magical place to go and visit. The venue is just superb at the foot of Edinburgh Castle and is beautifully lit to give the whole place a fabulous atmosphere.
The friendly and knowledgeable staff, brilliant food and the venue is just about as good as it gets. The wine list really is a massive book (think encyclopedia not airport novel as a size guide)...for me I had to stick to the front...but if you have the money there is an amazing choice if you go back through the book.
It's an absolute bargain if you go for a pre- or post- theatre sitting.
Can't recommend it highly enough - if you are in Edinburgh, get yourself along there. Especially if you are after a romantic setting...although it's not just for dates, it's worth a visit whoever you are with.
